this is the "guan yin pu sa" after its makeover session. i've scrubbed off the stained portions and repainted all its coloured parts. i've also re-drew its face features and added some crystals to its clothings. i've redo the clothing's gold linings. i've spent 3 days on this project and charges $280.00.

on the left is a the statue of goddess of mercy "guan yin pu sa". its about 12 inches in height. the statue is made of fibre glass but it looks like carved from stone. although its made of fibre, it still weighs quite heavy cos its solid. the statue got stained on its eyes and the gold linings on its clothing had lost its shine. the owner is very particular about its eyes and wanted me to re-draw its face features.

on the left is a buddha statue about 10 inches in height. it is made of porcelain and is very nicely crafted. the statue's features will very sharpely crafted. the owner of this statue wants a gold plating job for this statue. to my point of view, i find this statue is already very nice in this look.

this is the "tua pek gong" after my makeover session. i've changed all the colour of the statue and used hong kong gold leaves. i've also changed the moustache and headress spare-parts. i drew some designs patterns on the back of its hat and chair. i've spent 6 days on this project and charges $580.00.

this is the "wang lao sien si" after my makeover session. i've changed its moustache and colours. i've used high grade gold leaves from hong kong, compare the gold parts from the before makeover picture and you will see the big difference of reflectiveness from the different types of gold leaves being used. i've spent 7 days on this project and charges $1200.00.

on the left is a statue which is not so commonly pray named wang lao sien si. it is believed to be the god of medicine and cure. there is a temple in macpherson rd opposite winsor hotel that holds this god. the statue is about 16 inches in height excluding the boxed platform and its made of wood.

this is the goddess of mercy (guan yin pu sa) after my makeover. i've repaint the background in beige and painted some clouds to richen the picture. i've added some bamboo leaves designs onto its clothing using genuine gold leaves, changed its skin colour by giving it some blushing look, changed the colour of the lotus flower platform and i've added some small crystals to the artpiece that really brings out the necklace which the buddha is wearing. i've spent 6 days on this project b'cos its details are very fine and needs alot of patience.. charges $900.00.

on the left is a picture carving of goddess of mercy (guan yin pu sa). the owner finds the colour a bit dull and wanted me to give it a fresher colour to bring out this piece of nice carving. you might find that there aren't anything wrong with the artifect like i do initially. but anyway, i will try to see what i can do do brighten up this piece of art. its about 4 ft in height by 2 ft in width and its craved from ivory.

this is the statue after makeover session. using genuine pure gold leaves from hong kong. i've changed the moustache,chair colour, platform colour and drew some designs on the chair and platform for decoration. i've used 4 days to complete this project and charges $580.00.

on the left is a very rare taoist god statue named lu ban sien si. its a god which many architecturers, constructers or builders will pray to. its about 16 inches in height and made of wood. the upper part of the head needs a little plastering, smoothern the surface and then a complete makeover.

on the left is the "wen" guan gong. its about 16 inches in height and its made of wood. if you have read my previous postings, i've told you before that there are two types of guan gong. one is the "wu" guan gong which will hold a big knife. the other tpe is the "wen" guan gong who will normally be holding on to a book. in recent years, there is another new type which holds a weapon on one hand and holds a book on the other. they named this the "wen" "wu" guan gong.

on the left is a statue named tua pek gong. its about 10 inches in height and made of wood. as seen from the picture, this statue needs a total makeover. its quite badly damaged due to long term praying. the statue has also lost most of its moustache and colours.

on the left is a buddha from cambodia, the buddha statue is made of copper and the platform and the background is made of wood. the buddha itself is about 10 inches in height. i've used high grade genuine gold leaves from hong kong for this project. you can compare the reflective and shineness to the other buddha statue using the lower grade gold leaves from thailand. i've used 6 days to complete this project and charges $1500.00.

this is the buddha after gold plating. although i've used lower graded gold leaves from thailand, but i still managed to give the buddha a shining ,reflective finishing. if you pay attention at the statue at a nearer distance, you will be able to see a bit of different coloured patches of gold on the statue. that's one of the problem using the lower grade gold leaves.

i've used 7 days to complete this job and charges $1500.00

on the left is a buddha from thailand standing at 24 inches in height. the statue is made of fibre glass and given a artificial stone finishing. it might look very heavy but is actually only about 4 kg. the owner wanted to have the buddha gold plated, but due to budget, he wanted me to use a lower grade gold leaf from thailand.

on the left is one of the common god you've often seen named guan gong. just for your knowledge, there are 2 different types of guan gong. on the left is the "wu" guan gong as you can see that its holding on to a weapon. "wu" in chinese means martial arts.its about 12 inches in height and made of wood. its very dusty and dirty due to poor maintainence. and i'm gonna give him a good makeover job.

this is the san chai tong zi (seng chai ya) after my makeover. i've given the face a bit of blushing tone to make the statue look more lively as you can see that the god is kind of a young kid. i've also changed most of the colour from the original to give this statue a very different look from the past. i took 5 days to complete the job and charges the owner $360.00.

this is the statue of san chai tong zi ( seng chai ya). its about 10 inches in height and made of wood. as you can see from the picture, its been badly damaged due to long term prayings and the paint is cracking. i need to plaster all the cracks and smoothen the surface. its a very painstaking procedure cos the smaller the statue, the harder the job.

on the left is the taoist god named tai sang lao jun. its about 12 inches in height and made of wood.the statue might looks new and ok to you but some owners are just more particular about the face feature of the god especially the eyes. its lack of some x factor which i can't describe also,, but whatever the case is, i will definitely give him a complete makeover which the owner will be glad.

copper buddha

this is the buddha after the re-gold plating job i've done. u might have seen lots of buddha,statues,or even some signboard with gold plating, bypassers will only see gold coloured artifects and will not notice whether the gold shines or not. if u look carefully,,u should be able to see my reflection on the buddha while i'm taking this shot. why most of the gold plated artifects that you've seen before doesn't have this type of shine consists of various reasons. job duration 5 days, charges $800.00

on the left is a buddha made of copper standing 16inches in height, its been pass to me for a re-gold plating job. copper statues are heavy and needs to be extra careful while doing a re-gold plating especially the under coating must be done with special method and procedure or the statue will have corrosion in future.
